You guys know how I love styling stuff that I already have, to create different looks. Well, today I raided my husband's closet to broaden my horizons 😉 I grabbed his crisp white shirt to create this fierce-feminine look. I love the Men's white shirts! There are so many ways to style them. And they tend to be more crisp than the women's white shirts which I really like. Plus they are easily available in your your boyfriend's/husband's/dad's/brother's closet.
When it comes to layering a white shirt, we mostly think of layering over it. Today, I switched things up a bit to layer a black mock neck under it. I unbuttoned the first couple of buttons of the shirt to create a deep v-neckline to elongate my silhouette. You can wear this look with a pair of slacks or a pencil skirt or jeans like I did. I went with my favorite combo of distressed jeans and fishnet tights. You may think the fishnet tights wouldn't provide any warmth. But layer them under jeans and you'll see (and feel) the difference. It's been a bit cooler than usual recently in SF (and I'm always cold) so for some additional warmth, I added my favorite black coat. Finished off with a pair of white booties & a pop of color, with the burgundy back pack.
Now, go grab a white shirt from the closet of the man in your life :)
