In this digital age we barely spend any time outdoors. Nobody has the time to stop and smell the flowers (literally!). But if you know me I'm a totally outdoor person, I prefer going to the park than going to a movie, I prefer to work out outdoors than in the gym. You plan anything out in the Sun & trust me I'll be there! I met Shalini recently at a blogger meetup briefly and we instantly hit it off. We decided that we should totally meet up for coffee soon. And like me she's an outdoorsy person too (may be one of the reasons we clicked? What say Shalini?! 😀) So instead of meeting at a coffee shop indoors we thought why not enjoy some time in sun. And we are blogger a.k.a. "extra people" that thought turned into a full fledged. What better reason to wear our favorite Spring outfits and sip some Rose.
When I think of picnics I think of gingham, which drew me towards this fun asymmetric ruffle gingham skirt from Target. And no Spring outfit is complete without a some pretty pastels right so I topped the skirt with this faded pink puff top. Finished off the look with some picnic essential accessories like wedge sandals & a hat.
Shalini chose this bright yellow wrap long dress for this fun occasion. It's light, comfy and beautiful. She accessorized look with layered gold necklaces & drop earrings. And finished off the look with a hat, the most essential accessory when you are going to in the sun.
We had the best time sharing our blogging stories, getting to know each other and of course planning our future collaborations. Turns out we have more in common that the blogging bug. She loves to dance, used to work in corporate setup & loves to cook & drink! I think I've found my partner in crime 👯 With whom will you plan a picnic this Spring? Let me know in the comments.
