Happy Women's Day (in advance) !! Feminism continues to be a burning F-word especially now, given the political leadership in the US. The women's march was a huge success and was evidence enough that feminism is not just a fad but a movement. With more and more women becoming aware of their rights I think the future is definitely female. To me feminism means equal rights, equal pay, freedom to do/wear/say what my hear desires. As Lena Dunham puts it, “Feminism doesn’t mean women are going to rise, take over the planet, and like cut off men’s testicles.”
One way to express yourself in a chic way is to literally wear what you believe aka statement t-shirts. I am loving this trend, it's so minimal and yet makes a big statement. I DIYed mine because I wasn't able to get one in time for Women's Day. The t-shirt and jeans combo is incomplete without a pair of sneakers. I got these ones from DSW clearance under $20, it was a steal. I love the minimal black detailing on them, it adds a little sophistication to a casual sneaker. Bomber jackets were huge last year and they still are. I strongly believe there's a bomber jacket made for each one of us, out there :) Embroidered satin ones are really big this season. You will pretty much find them everywhere in all price ranges. It's easy to style and instantly adds the chic factor to a plain t-shirt and jeans combo. If you don't have one, I think you should definitely get one. You will not regret it.
