Well thanks to J. Crew, today is National Stripes Day #believeitornot ;) Stripes are really big this spring. And you will see big and bold stripes in all the stores. Stripes are classics but this season you will see a different take on them. There are stripes in all colors and sizes possible. A big trend with stripes is mixed stripes in the same piece like this top I received in Le Tote.
Stripes can be tricky to pull off but if you are not comfortable wearing them I would suggest starting with small size stripes in more muted colors.
A layering trend which seems like here to stay is wearing a tank top over another top. You must have seen them worn over t-shirts but t-shirts might seem a little too casual for some workplaces so I layered it over my husband's white shirt ;) The white dress shirt makes this combo appropriate work wear. I love wearing men's shirts, they are more crisp than women's, are over sized and more often than not cheaper than women's. I say go raid over your dad's/ husband's/brother's or your boyfriend's wardrobe
